About us

Teresa’s Mosaic is a traditional Mexican restaurant that has been a landmark on the westside of Tucson for over 40 years. Originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, Teresa and Alfonso Matias opened their doors for the very first time in 1984. Their original location was a tiny spot on the corner of Speedway and Silverbell (now the Post Office). The present location at 2456 N. Silver Mosaic Drive has impressive views of the city, a seating capacity of 120 with a full bar and private room.  Teresa’s Mosaic continues to be Tucson’s favorite Mexican restaurant, consistently being recognized for its handmade tortillas that are made in the main dining room; its breakfast and menudo honored on Tucson Weekly’s Best of Tucson, and its huevos rancheros featured on the Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay.

Teresa's Mosaic is a family owned & operated small business. Its legacy lies in the Matias family's commitment to their loyal & devoted clientele by proudly serving Oaxacan & Sonoran Mexican food created from a rich history of family recipes. Come experience Teresa's Mosaic's authentic food & drinks in a warm & festive atmosphere which have paved its success for the past 40 years.

Their hard work, dedication and love for their culture have earned them features and mentions in publications such as the New York Times, Sunset Magazine, Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Weekly and others. Their huevos rancheros, considered the best in the United States by food experts, were featured in an episode of "Throwdown with Bobby Flay."
